Although only 8 players turned out today for the May end of month Champion Golfer competition the tournament was still competative. The weather was very hot for the first few holes but then the clouds gathered making it one of the coolest rounds of golf we have experienced for quite some time, long may it last.
There were no near pins this week due to the depleted field so the result was as follows;
3rd Place with 33 points, Malcolm Vaughan
2nd Place, losing out on countback with 34 points, Sam McLellan
Winner and Champion golfer for May also with 34 points, Scott Wanigesekera

Dancoon Texas Scramble 19/5/21
Four three man teams played today at a very hot and humid Dancoon. Despite the heat there were a couple of decent scores which deservingly took the prizes.

13 players turned out today at a very disappointing Singha Park. We were told at reception that the greens on the back 9 had been verti-cut however, it turned out all 18 greens had been SCARIFIED making them virtually unplayable! It was obvious to all that it was going to take a player of exceptional skill and fortitude to win the day.
The result was;
3rd place with 36 points, Wichai Chaisong
2nd place, losing on countback with37 points, Scott Wanigesekera
Winner also with 37 points plus heaps of skill and fortitude, Sam McLellan

14 players turned up today for another stableford competition at Dancoon. The course was in decent condition (apart from a few uncut tee boxes) and the weather was hot and humid, which is as one would expect in Khon Kaen at this time of year. The competition was fierce with JT being pipped at the post due to his disasterous blob on the par 3 17th.
