The first round of the trip was played at the beautiful Jack Nicklaus designed Khao Yai Country Club. Ketil and his wife Ali joined us for this competition which boosted the numbers to 14, all of who had a fantastic day on one of the most picturesque and well designed courses in all of Thailand. The weather was perfect and with the fairways being quite dry there was a lot of run on the ball which shortened the course somewhat and lead to some very good scores. The result was as follows;

4th place with 34 points, Sam McLellan
3rd place with 37 points, Paul Samme
2nd place also with 37 points, Ken Oscarsson
Winner with a fantastic 42 points, Greg Alexander

Near pin winners were; Ketil Sunde, Chris Enness and Greg Alexander

The second round of the trip was also played at the stunning Khao Yai Country Club. There had been some overnight rain which softened the fairways a little and the huge run which we experienced in the previous days round was now not so prevalent, the scores reflected this fact and they were as follows;

3rd place with 33 points, Mr Ahn
2nd place with 34 points, Greg Alexander
Winner with 35 points, Ken Oscarsson

Near pin winners were; Trevor Edge, Andy Warhol and John McMorris x2

There were only 10 players at Panorama Country Club as Ken only planned to play the first two games and Chuck went to the wrong golf course! the dozy old gitTongue Out. Panorama was in excellent condition and although a lot tougher than Khao Yai we still had a very enjoyable round of golf especially since we beat the rain by about 5 minutesCool. The difficulty of the course did make scoring harder for everyone (no scores above 30) but as we played off the blue tees it was even harder for the shorter hitters with some holes needing a huge carry just to get to the fairway.... The result was as follows;

3rd place with 27 points, Mr Ahn
2nd place with 29 points, Greg Alexander
Winner also with 29 points, Sam McLellan

Near pin winners were; Greg Alexander, Mr Ahn, Denny Price and Pete Nicholls

Last but not least, I would like to thank Trevor Edge on behalf of everyone for his superb organisational skills and for making sure we had good weather for the golf. Cheers Trevor...
