Singha Park 30/6/21
Despite the England game being played last night 15 golfers turned out for the June Champion Golfer Competition. Singha Park was in excelent condition, greens are close to perfect, the fairways are top notch as usual, and with a cooling breeze throughout the round a fantastic day was had by all.
The world handicap system has now been fully implemented which means the 'Playing Handicaps' were slightly lower than in the past but some decent scores were still achieved and the result was as follows;
3rd place with 36 points, sneaking in on countback, Paul Kelly
2nd place with 37 points, Graham Burke
Winner and Champion Golfer for June with 39 points, Chris Enness
Near Pin Winners
Hole 5 Graham Burke
Hole 17 Chris Enness
Thanks to everyone for an absolutely superb day out.

There were 13 players today at a very hot Dancoon. The course was in decent condition for the time of year, dry and with freshly mown fairways, the greens however were a little inconsistent which may have contributed to the lower than average scores, with a couple of exceptions.
The result was as follows;
3rd place, beating Tony Condron on countback with 34 points, Paul Kelly
2nd place with 37 points, Syd Hills
Winner with 40 points, Greg Alexander

Dancoon 9/6/21
There were 11 players today which meant the planned Texas Scramble had to give way to a game of Stableford. The weather was a lot cooler than lately and although the ground was a bit soggy underfoot after the overnight rain, with preferred lies on the fairways, the course was very playable and a couple of good scores were returned.
There were no near pins again this week, the result was as follows;
3rd Place, beating Bill Cerny on countback, with 32 points, Scott Wanigesekera
2nd Place with 36 points, John Hufflett
Winner with 39 points, Sam McLellan
Great day guys, pity we didn't have the numbers for a Texas Scramble though, fingers crossed for next time.

11 players turned out today at a very hot Dancoon Golf Club to battle it out for the honour of being the Khon Kaen Golf competition winner at the begining of June. The competition was fierce but no one could come close to the winner who outshone the rest of the field.
There were no near pins today due to the small field, the result was as follows;
3rd place, losing on countback with 37 points, Greg Alexander.
2nd place, also with 37 points, Scott Wanigesekera.
Winner with an outstanding 42 points, Tony Condron.
Well played everyone. Sorry about the picture Tony, I think the camera broke when Graham took the photo?
