Singha Park Tuesday 25/3/25
Today we held our Champion Golfer for March trophy at Singha Park. The course is still in good condition although there are a few bare patches on the fairways, this didn't afect play in the slightest and the greens were perfect as usual. The hot weather has returned which made it hard going towards the end of the round but it was very enjoyable and the result was as follows;
3rd place losing a countback with a net 74, Dave Nightingale
2nd place also with a net 74, Mick collins
Winner with net 73, Mick Shrosbury

There were a lot of Juniors out at Singha Park today playing some kind of competition? Although they didn't hold us up much, the white tees had been moved back to the blues on about 50% of the holes which made it a very long course for us old blokes... This being said, the course was in very good condition and the weather was overcast which, with the stiff breeze, Kept things very comfortable. The result was as follows;
2nd place with 31 points, Peter Glynn
Winner with 32 points, Dave Gourno
Well played everyone, see you next weekfor the Champion Golfer for March trophy.

Singha Park Tuesday 11.3.25
Another hot day at Singha Park for our weekly stableford. It didn't help being stuck behind a 5 ball and having to endure nearly 5 hours in the baking heat!! Apart from the slow round the course was in good condition and the golf was very enjoyable indeed, the scoring being a little better than last week and the result was as follows;
3rd place winning a countback with 34 points, Dave Gourno
2nd place losing a countback with 36 points, Brian Proctor
Winner also with 36 points, Ketil Sunde
Well played everyone. As we discussed we will change the tee time to 09:00 from next week to see if we can avoid the 5 balls.

It was unseasonably hot today for our weekly stableford at Singha Park. The course was in good condition but the heat made it a bit of a slog, it did cool down a little for the back 9 when a slight breeze took the edge off it but it didn't help the scores.... The result was as follows;
3rd place winning a countback, with 30 points, Nick Mellor
2nd place with 32 points, Paul Samme
Winner with 33 points, Brian Proctor.
Well played everyone, it's supposed to be cooler next week....
