Singha Park Tuesday 25/2/25
The conditions wer superb today for our 'Champion Golfer for February' trophy at Singha Park. There was a decent turnout which meant that the players were going to have to have a good score to get into the prizes, the winner however played out of his skin to post a score 4 shots ahead of the next competitor!! The result was as follows;
3rd place winning a countback with net 72, Scott Wanigesekera
2nd place with net 71, Dave Gourno
Winner and Champion Golfer for February with a fantastic net 67, Brian Proctor
Near Pins;
Hole 5 Chuck McCormick
Hole 13 Dave Nightingale
Well played everyone, great day of golf.

Singha Park was in fantastic condition today as it was only a couple of days after the Thailand Masters. The course was in 'Tournament' condition and was an absolute pleasure to play, and with the skies being overcast for most of the round conditions could not have been better. It could have been because of the conditions or, perhaps it was just due to the exceptional skills of the golfers but, there were 2 eagles today. Dave Gourno chipped in from about 20 yards for a 3 on the par 5 3rd, and Tony Condron sunk a 200 yard shot, yes 200 yards, for a 2 on the par 4 16th!!! All in all a fantastic day of golf and the result was as follows;
3rd place with 36 points, Ketil Sunde
2nd place also with 36 points, Dave Gourno
Winner with a superb 41 points, Tony Condron
Well played everyone, see you for the 'Champion Golfer for February' next week.

Another fantastic day on the number 1 golf course in Issan. The course was in great condition again and the weather is still relatively cool which made for a very pleasurable round indeed. The only slight drawback was the fact that the pin positions were in some very difficult places as they were protecting the greens before the big competition at Singha next week. I think it may have only been me that struggled on the greens however as there were some decent scores posted, the result was as follows;
3rd place, losing a countback with 35 points, Magnus Engstrom
2nd place also with 35 points, Dave Gourno
Winner with 40 points, Ketil Sunde
Winner of thr draw for a sleeve of balls was spawny Nick Mellor
